happy birthday, my boy!!!

We spent Henry's 2nd birthday near the beach. We had hoped to spend it at the beach but weather prevented us from even going to the beach for the day--it was like a monsoon for 3 days straight. But we spent time with Mimi, Big Pop and Auntie Beth (who graciously shares her birthday with Henry--hers has gotten pushed to the back burner, obviously and unfortunately.) Here are a few pictures from the big day:

It's Mickey Mouse!!

Hmm, that looks interesting....

and delicious!! Mommy's homemade banana cupcakes with honey-cinnamon cream cheese frosting. They were pretty tasty and it was easier to transport cupcakes than a cake in the car for the trip down.

I want to play with this!! It is a Sesame Street house for little figurines to play in.

At the bottom, a tractor with wagon to pull hay, a new backpack for school and an Auburn shirt. But the biggest hit is the little green train that Henry has in his hand. He adores trains and will spend hours standing at our train table at home playing with them. This little train's name is Henry!!

Henry pushing his trains through a tunnel under a waterfall!

Oh boy, trains!!

I see a Halloween costume in the making!!

hide and seek...

While packing for our next trip, the brothers discovered that they could each fit in a suitcase and close it on themselves. Henry was a bit wary at first....

That face!!

But then he got into it...

Look how funny I am!

mini-swimming...

Henry has been enjoying the zero entry pool at the Y more and more every time we go, so Sam got out the little pool and the slide one day in the back yard. Although I am not sure that Luke did not enjoy it as much as Henry, they both had so much fun!!
