4 month check-up...

Henry had his four-month check-up today! I cannot believe it is time for that already, but here we are. He has a cold virus of some kind (no pnuemonia, like big brother, thank goodness!) but other than that is perfect developmentally and growing well. He is up to 15lb 10.5oz (75% percentile) and 26 in tall (85% percentile). What a handsome fellow he is!

FYI, he is sitting in something called a Bumbo seat that supports him until he can sit up himself. It was a Christmas gift that we got secondhand somewhat skeptically, but he loves being able to sit up and watch brother play and run around.

Henry always seemed to know when it was time to eat supper while we were at Mimi and Papaw's house. Mimi would eat quickly and then go and hold Henry while the rest of us ate. After the first day or so, Henry seemed to be looking around for Mimi at supper time, saying "hey, where is that lady who will pick me up?"

Henry's first tooth started breaking through his gum today!! My little guy! How did he get to be this old?

Luke and Henry have been taking baths together for a little while now and Luke loves it! Henry goes in first and gets clean, then Luke hops in for a few minutes. Then Henry comes out and Luke gets more water and bubbles. Luke loves helping wash his baby brother and showing him his toys!

2 month check-up....

Henry had his two month check-up today. Developmentally, there is not much that babies do at 2 months old, but he is doing it! Starting to smile, holding his head up a bit and bearing weight on his feet is about it. His stats are: 13lb 4oz (that is in the 85% percentile, up from 50% at 2 weeks) and 24.25 inches tall (that is the 90% percentile, up from 75%). He had 3 shots and an oral vaccine, but he held up like a trooper--only a few tears.

two week check-up

Not a lot of news here (hey, he is only two weeks old!!) But we did go to the pediatrician for a follow-up appointement. Remember Henry's birth weight was 7lb 13.6 oz and height was 20.5 inches long? Well at two weeks, he is up to 9lb 1.5oz and 21.75 inches!! That is the 75% and 90% percentile, respectively. Luke at this age was a bit big at 10lbs even. But Henry is keeping up with his brother.
