brush, brush, brush all day long...

Since Henry is sporting not only 8 new teeth, but his one year molars are on their way, he is proud to be brushing his teeth morning and night, just like everyone else. He never liked a bottle, only preferring a sippy cup for water or milk, like big brother's. He is very aware of his surroundings and what everyone else is doing and of course, follows around Luke to see what he is going to get into next!

9 month check-up....sort of

Henry had his 9 month check-up...well, really it is 10.5 months, but close enough. He was not due for any shots or anything until 12 months, so we waited a bit to do both of their check-ups together. He is doing well, developmentally and socially. A little stranger anxiety, but very normal at his age.

His stats are as follows: 20lbs 6.5oz--25% percentile and 30.25 in--75% percentile. He is down in weight a bit, percentage-wise, but he eats like crazy and he may have just had a big growth spurt and stretched up and thinned out. We'll see at his 12 month appt in 6 weeks! Maybe he is Daddy's little basketball player--tall and thin!

fun for me too!

Henry had fun during Luke's "Camp Grandma" week too. He was delighted to have free rein over the house and the toys, yet always seemed to be looking around the corner for Big Brother. He enjoyed the children's museum as well. Besides getting to watch brother and other kids do crazy stuff (which he enjoys), there was an infant section with lots of mirrors and toys just for him. And as any mark of a good trip, I think they were both asleep before we left the parking deck!
crawling up the ramp...who is up there?

why, that baby looks just like me!

toys for me? Oh boy!

I love this expression. A little quizical, a little sassy, a little...personality!

Big smiles! And check out those teeth--7 and counting.

my first 4th of july!

It was Henry's first Independence Day. We loaded up the strollers and walked about a mile down to the park to see the show. Even though he was up much later than usual Henry did really well and was not scared at all.

We were a little early so we had a snack and played a bit on the hill.

watching from Daddy's lap....
